Things like this make me want to play more Minecraft that I have time for.

What’s a game jam? Pile a bunch of Coders, Artists, Sound Engineers and Managers into a room and keep them there for forty-eight hours. Feed and water occasionally, release them ONLY after they have created fun and entertaining things inspired by a keyword. This video explains it much better.
For the things that we created here in Plymouth go here!
I was part of the production team for FLESHCANNON. It was super fun, and I’ve left the jam inspired to put more games of my own into active creation.
(You should also go and play it via that link ^ because the SOUNDS alone kick all the butts. I am serious.)
What made this Jam even more amazing is that there were more than ten thousand people around the world taking part in the same event this weekend. When we hit our deadline - 3pm GMT - there were more than two thousand other games uploaded for the deadlines in other timezones. I can’t imagine what the count is now, and to try to think that I took part of something to that scale is just… hard to really comprehend?
I was really fortunate to work with some very amazing people too. I can only dream of being capable of making such cool concept art as this - though I’m driven to achieve that now, and I think that is part of what Games Jam is about. Not just creating a game, not just having fun, but finding where your limits are, and learning from others how you can improve or push that further.
A huge thank you to everyone - let’s make more games!
In other news I am so glad I bought a laptop it has been so wonderfully useful and this was supposed to be a micro post what happened when did it get so long.
